I don't know how you're keeping busy these days while our world is being turned upside down... I've been on the move, going from one project to another and in between I take breaks and look at art online. My fav place to go is Instagram, you can sit and scroll for 5 minutes and see alot of very beautiful art! 

Let me get to the point.

I was scrolling along and what do I see but these adorable little pins, hand stitched with hearts on them, 4 of them in one photo. I stopped to read underneath and see that this person, Shelly Sazama, and she goes by @bekind_havefun on Instagram (you'll want to follow her!) created the pins. She mentions that she was thinking, wouldn't it be nice to give them to someone that is taking care of the people that are sick, or the elderly. Even the people stocking our shelves at the grocery store are at risk and, or or or.... You get the idea.

​There are so many people out there at this very moment that are putting themselves in the line of fire, For Us. Why not let them know we appreciate them and that we are thankful for them!

I will be coming out of hiding to make a YouTube video showing how to make these, later today,  and when I do I'll come back and link to it here.

​You can certainly improvise, just made sure there is a HEART on them. Stitch them, glue them, whatever it takes, whatever supplies you have at home, use. If your pins are smaller or larger than mine, adjust accordingly. Use the hashtag #heartsforcaregivers please. 

I made little cards to put the pins on so people know what the meaning behind them is. You don't have to do that, you can write something out on an index card instead. If you like mine and want to use them, that would make me happy, and I have created a pdf for you to print them out. You will get 6 to a page and I printed mine out on cardstock. I used different colors too, it's what I have on hand and I thought they looked cheery.

Be careful when you cut them apart, you want to get as close to the top so that you can use a regular hole punch to make your holes. You will know what I mean when you go to punch the holes. I'm using 1.5 inch size safety pins and I put my holes, centered at 1.25 inch in from the side edge of the card. My cards are a little wider than I had planned but I like the way they look with the verse on the bottom so I left them as is. 
I am also using a hole template so I don't have to measure side to side each time. ​​

Update: 
Smaller set of cards (2.85"wide x 3.5 long)
Plain card without scripture verse on the bottom (2.85" x 3.5" long)
Wider card (3.5" x 3.5")
